Itinerary of Tibet Tour in detail

Days 01 : Kathmandu – Nyalam (156km). Early in the morning scenic drive to Kodari. (Nepal-Tibet border.) After the necessary custom formalities, we will continue on our way to Nyalam (3750m). Overnight at Nyalam.

Days 02 : Nyalam- Lhatse (244kms) Through out this you will feel like you are in the roof of the world. Breathtaking panorama of beautiful Himalayan Ranges including Mt. Cho Oyu and Mt. Xisahapnagma can be seen and from Tingri one can enjoy the magnificence view of Mt. Everest . Overnight at Lhatse.

Days 03 : Lhatse – Xigatse. (248 kms) Continue the scenic drive while crossing over Gyatchu La the highest pass en route to Lhasa via Lhatse. Overnight at Xigatse.

Days 04  : Xigatse – Gyantse, In Gyantse you can visit the two most interesting places (1) Kumbum Stupa: a 32m edifice (structure) building containing 77 room and 100,000 images of the Buddha is an architecture masterpiece. A prince of Gyantse built those by commissioning of Nepali craftsman of the Kathmandu valley (2) Pelkor Code Monastery and Gyantse fort: It is built on top of the huge rock. Watch the sun climb the walls of the Gyantse Dzong and disappear. Over night at Gyantse.

Days 05  : Gyantse- Lhasa (261km) drive. Drive to Lhasa crossing The Karo La and Kamba La passes. The colorful Yamdrok Lake and the Tibetan lifeline river Brahmaputra can be seen along the way.

Days 06-07  : Lhasa Sightseeing tour of Potala Palace, Norbulinka Palace, Jokhang Temple, Drepung Monastry, Sera Monastry and Barkhor Bazar. O/nt at Hotel.

Days 08  : Transfer to the airport for onward flight to Kathmandu.
