Nar Phu Trekking

Unlike other areas the Nar-Phu villages are beyond the northern Himalayan ranges. So they remain dry throughout the year. Having remained as restricted areas for years his majestic Government has started allowing foreign tourist to trek to these attractive villages Nar-Phu since 2003. Climatically this trekking region is considered suitable for tourist in May, June, July and August. The topographical, religious, cultural and social features of area can easily reached everybody’s heart and mind.

Nar Phu Trekking

Nar & Phu Villages are situated at an altitude of 4200 m above the sea level. An attractive natural stone gate welcome visitors before entraining the phu village. The Tashi La- Khang, the ancient and historical monastery is the central of attraction of Phu village. The monastery has been build by a Tibetan lama Kamendo Genzo about 400 years ago. The villages are in fact very close to the border with the Tibet autonomous region of China. Such a village settlement could be a rare sight in any part of the world.
