Kathmandu Valley Trekking

The hilltops surrounding Kathmandu valley provide a spectacular view of the Himalayan range as well as enable you to experience a glimpse of Nepali culture with its people, religion, race, tradition etc. The starting point of the hill trails can be reached within 2 hrs from the city center and treks range from 1 to 5 days.

Itinerary of Around KTM Trekking in detail

Itinerary 01

Day 01: Kathmandu - Chisapani: Start your trek on a flat trail for about 1 hour and then hike slowly to gain altitude. On the top of the hill, one can enjoy a panoramic sight while having lunch. Then you will walk through the forest for 3 hours on a flat trail which eventually leads to Chisapani.

Day 02: Chisapani – Nagarkot: Enjoy the view of the mountains to the north while leaving from Chisapani to Chauki Bhanjag. The trekking time takes about 2 and half hours, after which you will stop for an hour for your lunch. Continue the charming trails for a further 3 hours toward Nagarkot (2175m), which is by far the most popular for its majesty and beaut.

Day 03: Nagarkot – Dhulikhel :4 to 5 hours trek to Dhulikhel. Dhulikhel is an old town at an altitude of 1,440 m offering a traditional atmosphere along with spectacular views. Overnight in Dhulikhel lodg.

Day 04: Dhulikhel - Namobuddha – Panuti- Kathmandu: After breakfast drive for 40 minutes to Kabre Bhanjyang and  trek to Namabuddha, Panuti then drive back by bus to Kathmandu.
