ranging from about 9,000 feet (2750m) at
Kargil to 25,170 feet (7,672m) at Saser
Kangri in the Karakoram. Thus summer
temperatures rarely exceed about 27 degree
celcius in the shade, while in winter they
may plummet to minus 20 degree celcius even
in Leh. |

Trek in detail |
Days 01-03 :
Arrival in Delhi. Transfer to hotel. Sightseeing. On
the last evening train to Kalka. |
Days 04 :
Arrival in Kalka. Train to Shimla. Overnight hotel. |
Days 05-06 :
Drive to Manali. Walk along the riverbank to Vashist.
Overnight hotel. |
Days 07-08 :
A sensational trip over high mountain passes. Two
nights in Jispa (3100m). |
Days 09 :
Drive to Sarchu (4100m). Overnight in a fixed tented
camp. |
Days 10 :
Drive Sarchu-Taglang La (5328m)-Leh. Overnight
hotel. |
Days 11-14 :
Walk trek Likir-Stok La. |
Days 15-17 :
Drive Leh-Khardung La (5602m)-Tegar-Panamik-Diskit.
Overnight hotel. |
Days 18 :
Sightseeing Shey, Thiksey and Hemis. Overnight
hotel. |
Days 19 :
Flight Leh-Delhi. Transfer to hotel. |
Days 20 :
Transfer to airport for departure. |
