Itinerary of Rajeshtan Tour in detail

Days 01 Arrival Delhi : Assistance on arrival, traditional welcome with garlanding and a welcome drink at hotel. Overnight at the hotel

Days 02 Delhi/Jaipur (05 hrs. Journey) : Morning transfer to Jaipur- the fabled "pink city" of the desert named after Jai Singh, the former Maharaja of Jaipur. This is the only city in the world symbolizing the nine divisions of the universe through the nine rectangular sectors subdividing it. The palaces and forts of the yesteryears, which were witnesses to the royal processions and splendors are now living monuments. Arrive Jaipur and transfer to your hotel where a welcome ceremony awaits you. Girls dressed in traditional Rajasthani attire anoint your forehead with "a red tikka" followed by ceremonial garlanding. After lunch embark on a half day sightseeing tour of this royal city visiting City Palace-the royal residence of the Maharaja of Jaipur and is known for its stunning architecture, it also houses a museum. Later visit the Palace of Winds also known as Hawa Mahal, this elaborate building, now little more than a façade, is encrusted with delicate screens and carved balconies from which the royal ladies, confined to their quarters, could sneak views of the outside world. Past, present and future merge at Jai Singh's Observatory, where time has been accurately measured since the 17th century. Evening free to explore the local markets. There is a timeless appeal to Jaipur's colourful bazaars where one can shop for Rajasthani handlooms and trinkets. Overnight at hotel

Days 03 Jaipur and Excursion to Samode : After breakfast visit the majestic Amber Fort where you ride upon Elephants back to the former capital of the royals set against the backdrop of the wooded hills. Later drive to Samode famous for the elegant Samode Palace, Nestled picturesquely amidst rugged
hills, Samode Palace with its stately grandeur and frescoed walls is a pleasant journey into the glorious past. The Palace is full of architectural delights-the birds, animals and flowers painted on the walls of Sultan Mahal, the dining room with stained glass windows and its collection of old family portraits, the Durbar Mahal with its painted ceilings and intricately carved walls and beautiful chandeliers give this place its old world charm. Arrive Samode and explore the splendid Palace and also have your lunch in the Palace. Evening drive back to Jaipur. This evening enjoy your dinner at Chokhi dani (an ethnic village resort) where you will have an idea of the village life of Rajasthan here you will also enjoy various traditional Rajasthani dances, puppet show and various other interesting activities.
